Hey there!
Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of decorating a baby shower for Sidoney and Fitzroy, who are expecting a baby girl! It was held at Space 176 in Queens, NY, and let me tell you, this venue is gorgeous! It has all white walls and flooring, as well as, beautiful chandeliers strategically placed throughout the room. They provide up-lighting, ghost chairs and cleaning services. The owners, Candace and Aisha are super friendly, helpful and easy to work with; we highly recommend using this venue for your event needs.
Now, let’s delve into the deets! Thérèse Nicole, LLC was responsible for designing the space (the client's family and friends took care of the planning). Sidoney wanted to avoid traditional baby shower themes and instead focus on the color palette: lavender, mauve and wine (by the way, this might be one of my favorite color schemes). Set up was smooth and efficient; all vendors arrived on time and were ready to fulfill his/her role in executing Sidoney’s vision. We worked as a team to get the drapes, balloons, florals, cake and rentals perfectly arranged.
We went with mauve tablecloths on all tables, set with gold charger plates, lavender velvet napkins, gold cutlery and a thank you note. The centerpieces were beautifully arranged with a fresh mix seasonal flowers and greenery including garden roses, spray roses, astrantia, lisianthus and scabiosa, and greenery such as spiral eucalyptus and plumosa fern. The ombre balloon garland cascaded down the beautiful mauve velvet wall and dusty rose love seat, keeping with the color scheme of the overall event. Sidoney requested a naked cake, which was adorned with beautiful florals.
The shower happened to fall on Fitzroy’s birthday, so we could not leave him out. He had his own special cake reflective of his love for traveling! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
